Educator's Evening

Connect, explore and collaborate at this free evening for Years 3 – 6 teachers.

Explore our new First Nations gallery Stories of Country in an after-hours guided tour and get hands-on in SparkLab, our interactive STEM experience with the curators and educators who created them.

Hear how community consultation and co-design shaped the exhibitions, find curriculum links and then stay for cheese, wine and conversation. Swap ideas with other teachers and tell us what your classroom needs - your input shapes what we build next.

You'll be first to hear about a new opportunity for eligible schools in 2027 funded by the Clem Jones Charitable Trust and every attendee will go into the draw to win a SparkLab excursion for their class.

What to expect on the night:

  • After-hours guided tours of Stories of Country and SparkLab
  • Practical insights into teaching First Nations perspectives
  • The first word on 2027 funding and learning opportunities
  • Your chance to shape future Queensland Museum programs and resources
  • Networking with fellow educators and museum staff over cheese and wine
  • Entry into the SparkLab excursion draw
