Queensland Museum’s ID It! Citizen science identification workshops are a hands-on series designed to build your confidence and skills in identifying local wildlife and contributing meaningful data to national research projects.

Across insects, reptiles, birds and frogs, you’ll learn practical identification skills, explore the role each group plays in healthy ecosystems, and discover how simple tools like apps and field guides can turn everyday sightings into valuable scientific records.

Led by Queensland Museum Discovery Centre specialists, these workshops are welcoming, accessible and suitable for curious beginners through to keen nature enthusiasts.

Come for the skills, stay for the science, and leave knowing how to make your observations count.
