Presented as part of GOMA’s ‘Melting into Air’ cinema program, experience a rare screening of silent masterpiece The Wind 1928, starring early Hollywood icon Lillian Gish. Directed by Victor Sjöström (The Phantom Carriage 1921), The Wind finds the young Letty relocating to a West Texas farm that is beset by seemingly ever-present gales. As her relationships with her family on the farm begin to deteriorate, Letty soon begins to lose her grip on reality. The film will screen from a 35mm print supplied by the Warner Archive in Los Angeles. New wave band Corporate Vibes will provide live musical accompaniment to the screening.
