Queensland Ballet 2026

A Season of Connection and Collaboration

Welcome to a bold new chapter for Queensland Ballet. In their first curated season under the artistic direction of Ivan Gil-Ortega, Queensland Ballet’s 2026 season celebrates ballet’s power to connect – across generations, disciplines, and cultures.

Queensland Ballet’s 2026 Season unfolds across two remarkable stages – the iconic QPAC, and the company’s more intimate venue, the Thomas Dixon Centre. At QPAC, audiences are treated to a dynamic program that spans epic masterpieces, contemporary creations, and beloved classics. From the sweeping drama of Messa da Requiem to the striking Strings Triple Bill – a compelling fusion of three distinct works, and a world-premiere reimagining of The Nutcracker – each production is a celebration of ballet’s expressive power and the transformative magic of collaboration between dancers, musicians, designers, and storytellers.

Whether you’re a lifelong ballet lover or a curious newcomer, the 2026 season offers something to move, inspire, and connect us all.
