Japanese filmmaker Makino Takashi creates film work that engulfs the senses. His approach to cinema is one that extends the boundaries of contemporary practices. The work, which often draws on collaboration with musicians such as Grouper and Jim O Rourke uses densely layered image superimposition inspired by collage techniques.
This Live Music & Film event will combine Makino Takashi’s sonic compositions and immersive filmmaking to craft a cosmic, almost revelatory cinematic experience.
