Labs Unlocked QIMR Berghofer – A Day in the Life of a Scientist

Discover world-class research institutions with World Science Festival Brisbane’s Labs Unlocked.

QIMR Berghofer’s Education Lab gives thousands of students a taste of what life is like as a medical researcher each year. As part of World Science Festival Brisbane, the lab will be open to visitors of all ages to take a look at scientific equipment in action and get hands-on with a number of scientific processes.

Attendees will throw on a lab coat and dive into the world of genetics, learning hands-on skills used by our researchers every day. Spend a day in the life of a scientist, learning how DNA plays a role in not only inheritance and evolution, but in disease development, treatment and prevention.

Book for the introduction into working as a medical scientist with this 45 min lab tour and experience.
