Music of spirit, peace and belief – these are pearls of the artform that transcend time and speak to the heart.
Hildegarde’s ancient chant and Ross Edwards’ chorale contemplate the spirit as the source and sustenance of life. This meditation is interrupted by the joy of Edwards’ Maninya dance and the exuberance of Mozart. Joe Chindamo collaborates with Chris Williams in a new composition, and displays his skills as an internationally-renowned jazz pianist.
Southern Cross Soloists (SXS) friend, Nina Korbe, joins us to sing her favourite repertoire. Casta Diva is a prayer for peace, Summertime and Somewhere are lullabies about belief – belief in a love so powerful it transcends present realities, belief that there is a calm place for love to be free.
