Cultural Precinct Architecture Tour

Experience South Bank’s Cultural Precinct through an architect’s eye on this walking tour with former Queensland Government Architect, Malcolm Middleton OAM LFRAIA.

The Cultural Precinct remains a dynamic and continually developing group of important architectural structures in this city. Following the opening of the now heritage listed QPAC theatre, the precinct was augmented with the construction of the Queensland Art Gallery and Queensland Museum (both also heritage listed) and the State Library of Queensland, with QPAC’s new Glasshouse Theatre set to be its latest addition.

Commencing at QPAC, this tour will highlight the original designs and many amendments and upgrades made to the buildings across decades.

Cultural Precinct Architecture Tour is part of the QPAC 40 Open Day. Find out more here.
