BlackCard Cultural Tour at Michael Parekowhai’s The World Turns

Join us for an introductory tour around South Bank’s Cultural Precinct, exploring one of the largest and most exciting collections of First Nations public artworks and learn stories about the broader Kurilpa area. Led by a First Nations’ guide from BlackCard, this unique tour commences from QPAC and visits various Cultural Precinct sites including QAGOMA and the State Library of Queensland.

BlackCard is a leading provider of cultural training and consultancy grounded in Aboriginal knowledge systems. Guided by Elders, it empowers organisations to build ethical, inclusive practices through a deep understanding of Aboriginal values, responsibilities, and connection to Land. 


The tour will depart on time. As this tour travels offsite, if you arrive late you may be unable to join the tour. 

Where possible, limit the bags you bring with you as cloaking facilities are limited. For safety, we suggest you wear flat, enclosed shoes.

Meeting Location

Your tour guide will meet you on the Ground Floor of QPAC outside the Lyrebird to commence the tour. Please aim to arrive 15 mins prior to the start time to avoid missing the commencement of the tour.

Maximum of 20 people per tour group.

Tour Information

  • Tours are conducted in English.
  • For safety, flat, enclosed shoes must be worn on the tour.
  • These tours showcase the Cultural Precinct; commencing at QPAC and travelling offsite to QAGOMA, the State Library of Queensland and Kurilpa Bridge.
