Leathercraft Full Day Workshops

Join artisans Nathan and Terri from TJ’s Leathercraft and learn how to make your own bespoke leather belt in this one-day workshop. This is the perfect project for an introduction to leathercraft.

You will prepare your belt from premium quality, full-grain vegetable-tanned Italian butt-hide by measuring and cutting it to length. Some of the skills you will learn during the workshop include cutting leather, bevelling, sanding, burnishing, skiving and setting rivets, dyeing, antiquing and conditioning leather.

You will have the opportunity to decorate your belt with an edge creaser or stitch groover and stamp your initials or a design if you choose. There will also be decorative stamps available to use like a wombat or kookaburra. Choose the colour of your dye and your hardware.

Come and have fun learning the basics of a traditional craft and take home a belt that you made yourself. Bookings are essential and places are limited.
