A Swan Lake like no other

Experience the breathtaking artistry of Ballet Preljocaj, exclusive to Brisbane.

Renowned for pushing the boundaries of ballet, France’s leading contemporary choreographer Angelin Preljocaj masterfully reimagines Swan Lake, transforming this classic tale of love, betrayal and seduction into a modern-day tragedy.

Hailed by The New York Times for its “nuanced, fragile physical poetry”, this groundbreaking adaptation features dramatic choreography, spectacular design and Tchaikovsky’s timeless score, combined with modern beats and contemporary arrangements, performed live by the Queensland Symphony Orchestra conducted by Johannes Fritzsch.

Ballet Preljocaj last performed in Queensland to a sold-out audience almost a decade ago. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to witness this remarkable company, performing live and exclusive to Brisbane as part of QPAC's 40th anniversary celebrations in 2025.

This event is part of the QPAC 40 program, celebrating 40 years of joy, inclusion, gathering and stories.
