Evidence of a successful amputation found in 31,000-year-old skeletal remains has rewritten the medical history books. The extraordinary find in Borneo challenges modern medicine’s successful amputation record, which stretches back a mere 100 years.

Our expert panel traces the discovery story and shares some of the current advances in medical science that bring new hope and freedom to modern amputees.
